It's been along time, but I've got some crazy news to report. This week has been one for the records. So much has happened that I'm bursting at the seems with excitement. Earlier this week I was asked on my first real (non-highschool) date. Its actually a blind date, since Kevin and I have never met. My boss through the ANG hooked us up, and I've been texting with him for the past few weeks. I'm hoping after our date, he'll ask me to this big valentines hanger dance at the air base. The dance is really special because you dress in 1940's garb, and swing dance! Another surprising development for the spring semester is that I've given my phone number to 3 different guys, and today I was asked out by another! What has changed? The second guy to ask me out is actually a resident of mine... which is probably against the rules... His name is Mason, and I've known him since the Freshman Summer Institute. He's really quiet, but very nice and super smart. He's the only resident of mine to acknowledge the Christmas cards I gave to everyone. He actually made me the cutest hand drawn card.

The craziest thing to happen this week was that I signed a lease on an Apartment! The apartment complex is set to open August 25th. Below are pictures from the sample apartment.

hurricane weather

What terrible weather we've encounter for the past day and a half. It's been raining nonstop, and Norfolk is flooded. I have my inspection for the Airmen of the Year board on Saturday, so I had to pick up my uniform from the dry cleaners. Bad idea. I didn't even make it half a mile, before I had to turn back.

At first I thought this weekend was going to be boring, but it turned out for the better.
Below is a picture of me in my vintage dress for the homecoming ball.

I also marched in the homecoming parade with the Fashion Association. We made super cute pink and white "referee" shirts.
