All HAIL THE MONARCHS OF
THE CLASS OF 2012
Today began bright and early with a blast of sirens from the fire alarm in the hall way and throughout Rogers Main. I nearly hit the roof when the sirens began, it was so loud and unexpected I waited a few minuets before leaning over the bed and saying very tiredly, "Leeia is that your alarm?" She answered "Its not yours?" So I sprouted from bed and searched around the room for the noises home. Eventually I opened the door and looked into the hall. Begrudgingly the halls were beginning to flood with Freshmen. 7am is typically not a ti
me in which most college students prefer to begin
their day. But alas we shuffled outside
and into the parking lot. The fire truck came rather quickly and only minuets later we slumped back into the dorms and back to our beds.
Before telling about my first day of classes here are some pictures from the past week
Went to the zoo on Saturday. It was really nice and a beautiful day.
MONDAY MONDAY
Like I said I began school this Monday much earlier then expected. I didn't plan to get up until around 0745 but instead woke 45 minuets early. My first class was European History. It is by far the biggest class I have. With nearly 200 students. It looks to be one of the hardest courses I'm going to have. The exams are all essay format and there are quizzes every Wednesday. My teacher looks like Conell sanders and he mumbles terribly. (It's really noisy in my hall now, they're watching the Lion King) Then I had a break until noon. I bought yet another book for my growing collection. My second class was French. That class seems like its going to be very challenging, but as long as I continue studying every night I should do relatively well in it. I was late to my third class because it's nearly half way across campus. I'm going to enjoy my English class. The book for it is really interesting and my teacher is really funny and entertaining. She was telling us how she wanted to help her students discover their own writing voice and style...an idea in which I fully support. My final class of the day was Technical Drawing. It seems like its going to be extremely cool. We are going to be sketching and drawing things with the computer. We are also going to be designing and printing textiles, designing and sculpting 3D objects with this awesome machine. I'm pretty excited about it. (Expecsically since there's no homework.) Tuesday, I only have one class. So I'll be studying and reading in the morning then finishing up my book shopping before class at 3.
Salut' Mama! Chow Papa!
